A person who is a non resident of Sri Lanka, who visits Sri Lanka on a tourist Visa – She/he is eligible to be accommodated as a temporary member (tourist) at the Hill Club.
Temporary members are not permitted to entertain any resident of Sri Lanka to the Club (Drivers, Sri Lankan partners, etc) Other than members of the Club.
Temporary members should respect and adhere to Club Rules.
As per the Government regulations, smoking is not permitted in public areas. A smoking room has been allocated for smokers in the Billiards Room, due to cold weather conditions.
Club Dress Code is effective from 7 pm onwards. Whoever, needs to utilize the Mixed Bar, Main Dining Room, Mixed Lounge, the Gentleman are requested to be attired In jacket and tie and the ladies should be in suitable attire for the evening. No jeans, denims will be permitted in these areas. Whoever, who wish to be in casual (in accepted manner – no shorts, no slippers or three quarters during dinner time) they could dine in the “Lilly Restaurant” (Casual dining room) and the Casual Bar. If required Jackets and ties could be borrowed from the Club, free of charge.
Children under the age of 5 years are not permitted within the main building of Hill Club. Guest with children under the age of 5 years could be accommodated in the Chalet family rooms. A family room is designed to accommodate 2 adults, 2 children and a toddler.
Use of Mobile phones is not permitted in the Main Dining Room, Mixed Lounge, Lilly Restaurant (Casual Dining Room), Reading Room, Mixed and Casual Bar, Monsoon Room and the Billiard Room. However, the phones could be kept on silenced mood and could be used in the corridor or in the telephone booth.
Temporary members should respect and adhere to Club Rules.
All bedrooms are fitted with a TV and a DVD player, a Tea/Coffee maker and a Hair drier. A good selection of DVD movies are available and could be borrowed free of charge from the Reception for viewing pleasure.
